Farmers Protest In Toulouse
Farmers are standing in front of the entrance of the ecologic transition center, which houses Ademe, the Adour-Garonne water agency, and the OFB, in Toulouse, France, on January 16, 2024. The FDSEA and JA farmers unions have called their members to protest, urging the government for assistance. Farmers are arriving with their tractors to join the protest. They are blocking the streets and protesting against the rise in water usage fees, taxes on biocides, and the application of the EGAlim law. They are also demanding that the French government ''cut the red tape.'' Farmers are pouring manure and waste at the entrance of the building, and some have attempted to break into the building, only to be stopped by Gendarmerie and Police officers.
