Protest Of Free Poles In Warsaw
PiS President Jaroslaw Kaczynski and Mateusz Morawiecki are participating in the Free Poles Protest organized by Law and Justice in front of the Polish Parliament in Warsaw, Poland, on January 11, 2024. The protest comes as a response to changes in the public media introduced by the new coalition government, which have sparked demonstrations by PiS supporters. The occupation of the public television's headquarters by PiS party politicians and the liquidation of TVP are a result of personnel changes and the president's veto on a budget-related bill. The March of Free Poles protest, expressing solidarity with the detained Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik, began in front of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and is moving towards the Chancellery of Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
