Month Long Madavnarayan Festival Celebrated In Nepal
Nepalese Hindu devotees are warming themselves after taking a holy bath on the first day of the Madhav Narayan Festival, or Swasthani Brata Katha festival, at the Hanumante River in Bhaktapur, Nepal. The festival is dedicated to God Madhav Narayan and Goddess Swasthani, during which Hindu devotees are recreating and reciting folk tales about miraculous feats performed by them.
