These awards are organized by the Royal Board on Disability, which serve to recognize the work for inclusion and the defense of the rights of people with disabilities. Each year they are presented personally by the Queen, as honorary president. These awards, for the first time with the category of "National Award", aim to stimulate and recognize the trajectory, dedication and contribution of individuals and public and private entities in the field of inclusion, full citizenship and effective enjoyment of the human rights of persons with disabilities, with special attention to women and girls with disabilities, mothers and caregivers of persons with disabilities and rural areas.
