Stop Executions In Iran Protest - Berlin
Iranian members of the diaspora, activists, gathered in front of the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, Germany, during the 'United Against Executions in Iran' protest on January 27, 2024. Organized by the Echo Iran group, this protest condemned the increase in death sentences by the rulers of the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA), a non-political and non-governmental organization dedicated to defending human rights, at least 746 people were executed in Iran in 2023. A highlight of this demonstration was Kosar Eftekhari, who, after the death of Mahsa Amini, joined thousands of Iranians in several demonstrations for the women's life freedom movement. However, during one of these demonstrations, Islamic security forces fired guns, resulting in her losing her eyesight. Photo by Echo Iran/Middle East Images/ABACAPRESS.COM
