Earthquake Anniversary Commemoration - Turkey
People gathered for memorials of the Orthodox people who lost their lives on earthquake. The Greek Orthodox Church of Antakya in Hatay's Antakya district was destroyed in earthquake. On the anniversary of the earthquake, a service was organized by the Orthodox community. Prayers and hymns were sung for those who died in the earthquake. On February 6, 2024, marking the one-year anniversary of the February 2023 earthquake, the catastrophic event claimed the lives of over 53,500 individuals in Turkey and nearly 6,000 in Syria.
