Ceremony In Paris To Pay Tribute To The 42 French Citizens Killed In Israel
The public is carrying placards and portraits of hostages held by Hamas as they attend a ceremony in the courtyard of the Hotel des Invalides in Paris, France, on February 7, 2024. They are paying tribute to the 42 French citizens killed and to all the victims of the Hamas assault on Israel that took place last October 7, four months after the attacks. This comes as the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas continues in the Gaza enclave. The ceremony honors the French and French-Israeli citizens who were killed in the attack on Israel by Hamas and the three others who are still missing and believed to be held hostage.
