Supreme Court hears arguments on disqualifying Trump from 2024 election
The Supreme Court of the United States sits behind two rows of barricade during oral arguments in a case that will determine if Donald Trump may be disqualified for the 2024 presidential election due to his actions in the January 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection, Washington, DC, February 8, 2024. The Colorado Supreme Court ruled earlier that Trump is ineligible because he engaged in insurrection, violating the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, and both parties have appealed to the Supreme Court to obtain a final ruling on the matter. The ruling will be on the Colorado case but will have far-reaching consequences as Trump faces challenges to his eligibility in at least 11 states. (Photo by Allison Bailey/NurPhoto)
