STORYLINE:
Algeria and Germany on Thursday signed an agreement to boost cooperation on hydrogen energy.
The two sides, led by Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab and German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck respectively, signed a declaration of intent to establish a working group that aims to boost their cooperation in this field.
Arkab said developing green hydrogen energy is a "primary government objective" for the Algerian government and is conducive to Algeria's climate commitment and energy transition plan.
