Anti-government Protest In Warsaw, Poland
A crowd of people, holding Polish national flags and anti-government banners, led by far right media - Gazeta Polska and TV Republica and Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość - PIS) political party leaders stage a protest in support of current Constitutional Court Judges in front of the Court's building on Szucha Street in central Warsaw, Poland, 10th of February, 2024. The Law and Justice party ruled in Poland for 8 years until they lost the last election in October 2023. The party now becomes a right-wing opposition force against a more centrist and liberal ruling coalition, where the main political force is Civic Coalition led by Donald Tusk, former President of the Council of EU and now Prime Minister of Poland. Current Constitutional Court judges were sworn in by the PiS party. Both sides accuse each other of unconstitutional acts around the Constitutional Court. (Photo by Dominika Zarzycka/NurPhoto)
