Swedish Activist Greta Thunberg Speaks Against The Decried Highway A69 In The Tarn Department

Activists are gathering in the meadows of the ZAD 'Crem'Arbre', where 'squirrels' are living in huts on the trees. Five trees are currently occupied by these 'squirrels'. In the woods near Semalens in the Tarn Department, on the planned A69 highway route between Toulouse and Castres, opponents of this project are organizing a weekend of protest known as the 'Cabanacade' with Swedish ecological activist Greta Thunberg. The weekend is being organized near the ZAD dubbed 'Crem'Arbre', which is a zone to defend, and serves as a call to activists and sympathizers to build huts for 'squirrels' who are living in the trees to prevent them from being cut down. Greta Thunberg is speaking out against the project, stating that it's insane to maintain such a project that will compromise the quality of life of inhabitants and will destroy not only nature but also agricultural fields.
