Shehuo, a traditional folk celebration in China, is a festivity in multiple forms consisting of dragon dance, lion dance, traditional Chinese opera, drum playing and other folk performances that may vary in different regions. Rescuers including firefighters and armed police are closely monitoring the situation of a dike breach in Dongting Lake in central China's Hunan Province which occurred Friday afternoon, local authorities have said. The dike breach that occurred in the Dongting Lake was initially about 10 meters wide but expanded afterward. As of 10 p.m. Friday, 5,000 residents in the affected area had been safely relocated.
