Horse Racing in Iran
An Iranian man is showing his winner's contribution bill after a race at the Gonbad horse racing complex in Gonbad-e Kavus, 556km (345 miles) northeast of Tehran, on March 7, 2024. In Islam, there is nothing wrong with two horse racers or their agents placing wagers with each other, as this is considered perfectly halal. In Iran, people are acting as agents for the horse racers and can place bets on the outcome of a race by purchasing a contribution bill. (Photo by Morteza Nikoubazl/NurPhoto)
