"The Great Struggle Of The World", Pagan And Contemporary Sacramental Auto At The National Center For The Arts

Professional wrestler Lunadark Shaitan, dressed in black, from the company Quinta Teatro y Al Rescate, is performing acrobatics with an actor during a play titled ''The Great Fight of the World'' at the National Center of the Arts in Mexico City. The play is a blend of pagan and contemporary auto sacramental with wrestling elements. In this performance, fighters who are acting and actors who are fighting embody the rudo (bad guys) and tecnico (good guys) sides, striving to earn the right to wear an authentic mask rather than one imposed by society.
