Hooded Penitents Parade In Tuscany
The annual Good Friday Easter parade takes place, in Castiglion Fiorentino, Tuscany, Italy, on March 29, 2024. The parade unfolds, embodying a timeless tradition. Hooded penitents from three brotherhoods carry crosses and statues through the streets, symbolizing the lead-up to Easter. Guided by the Priest of the Church of the Collegiate and accompanied by mournful melodies, the procession fosters community reverence. The Brotherhood of San Antonio dons white, the Brotherhood of Death wears black, and the Brotherhood of Jesus adorns blue, paying homage to tradition, while Pious Women follow with Our Lady of Sorrows.
