Two People Shot As They Stood On A Sidewalk; One In Critical Condition

Police officers are searching for evidence and clues at the crime scene where two people were shot as they stood on a sidewalk in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on April 12, 2024. At approximately 1:58 a.m. on Friday morning, two male adults were standing on the sidewalk on the 1800 block of S. Blue Island Avenue when a white vehicle approached from the alley. A suspect fired gunshots in their direction and then fled the scene. A 31-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the back and was transported to the hospital in critical condition, while a 25-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the left leg and was transported to the hospital in good condition.
