Evacuation Of France's Biggest Squat - Vitry-sur-Seine
Asylum seekers are evacuated of France's biggest squat, which has housed up to 450 migrants, most of them legal migrants according to associations, in the southern suburbs of Paris in Vitry-sur-Seine on April 17, 2024, 100 days before the Olympic Games. The operation, which had been expected for several days, prompted many of the homeless who had taken refuge in this disused factory to leave before the arrival of the large numbers of police deployed to dislodge them.
