The earthquake struck at 6:11 p.m. local time (1511 GMT), with its epicenter located in the town of Sulusaray in Tokat province, approximately 450 kilometers east of the capital Ankara, according to AFAD. There were no immediate reports of casualties. The quake was felt in neighboring provinces, private broadcaster NTV reported.
