Opening Arguments Begin In Criminal Trial Of Former US President Donald Trump In New York
A man is walking a dog past the remains of ashes and fire extinguisher foam in Collect Pond Park, across the street from the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse in NYC, as former US President Trump is arriving on the morning of the opening arguments, on April 22, 2024. The singed debris is still present in the park, which has reopened to the public a few days after the death of Max Azzarello, 37, who died from his injuries after setting himself on fire at this site. Trump is being accused of falsifying business records to cover up payments made to conceal information from voters in the 2016 election.
