(240426) -- BEIJING, April 26, 2024 (Xinhua) -- Technical personnel work at Beijing Aerospace Control Center on April 26, 2024. China's Shenzhou-18 manned spaceship successfully docked with the space station combination early on Friday morning, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). The spaceship made a fast, automated rendezvous and docking with the radial port of the space station's core module Tianhe at 3:32 a.m. (Beijing Time). The whole process took approximately 6.5 hours, said the CMSA. (Xinhua/Jin Liangkuai)

              A Long March-7 Y9 carrier rocket carrying cargo spacecraft Tianzhou-8 blasts off from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in south China's Hainan Province, Nov. 15, 2024. China launched the cargo craft Tianzhou-8 on Friday night to deliver supplies for its orbiting Tiangong space station, according to the China Manned Space Agency. The Long March-7 rocket, carrying Tianzhou-8, blasted off at 11:13 p.m. (Beijing Time) from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the southern island province of Hainan, the agency said. After about 10 minutes, Tianzhou-8 separated from the rocket and entered its designated orbit. Its solar panels soon unfolded. The agency declared the launch a complete success. The cargo craft Tianzhou-8 has successfully docked with the orbiting Tiangong space station on Saturday, the China Manned Space Agency announced. At 2:32 a.m. (Beijing Time), Tianzhou-8 docked at the rear docking port of Tianhe, the core module of Tiangong space station, after completing its status setting, according to the agency.
