Voting for 88 constituencies in the second phase of India's 18th general elections across 13 states and union territories kicked off on Friday.
Despite scorching temperatures, people were seen standing in queues holding their election identity cards, waiting for their turn to cast a vote.
Polling of votes will continue until 18:00 local time. Out of the seven phases, the first phase of the elections was held last Friday. The polls saw a voter turnout of around 65.5%.
As per the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India, the election will be held in seven phases. The third phase will commence on May 7, followed by the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20, the sixth phase on
