Golu Devta Temple
A small trishul is hanging among the bells at the Golu Devta Temple (Bell Temple) in Ghorakhal, Uttarakhand, India, on April 20, 2024. Golu Devta is worshipped as a deity of justice by the Kumaoni and Garhwali communities. Devotees are visiting the temple to offer prayers to Golu Devta, seeking justice for prolonged court cases or the removal of obstacles in their lives. They are hanging bells, with or without written pleas, on the temple poles. If their requests are granted, they will return with larger bells as a sign of gratitude. Brass alloy bells are being sold at the puja item shops outside the temple. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
