The emergency occurred at around 8:30 a.m. local time (0530 GMT) when the front landing gear of a Boeing 763 belonging to FedEx Airlines failed to open due to hydraulic issues, said the NTV broadcaster. A video aired by the broadcaster showed the aircraft, "which was on a France/Istanbul cargo flight," landing on the fuselage on the runway.
