Baseball: Dodgers' Ohtani, interpreter Mizuhara
Shohei Ohtani (L) of the Los Angeles Dodgers runs, followed by his interpreter Ippei Mizuhara, in Glendale, Arizona, on Feb. 27, 2024, as the team plays a spring training game against the Chicago White Sox. The U.S. Justice Department said on May 8 that Mizuhara, who was dismissed in March, has agreed to plead guilty on two charges, including bank fraud, in an upcoming arraignment, in a case where prosecutors allege that he stole nearly $17 million from one of Ohtani's bank accounts to cover gambling debts.
