India Elections
In the early morning, polling officers and other election officials are summoned to the distribution center to receive electronic voting machines (EVMs), ballot units, and other election materials. After traveling long distances, they rest under a large canopy before being transported by car or bus to remote locations. They will deliver election materials ahead of the fourth phase of voting in the Nadia district during India's parliamentary general elections on May 13. The EVMs are stored in high-security zones, and officials inspect a large board listing their polling destinations at Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on May 12, 2024. (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
