The video shows the raindrops showering from the dense clouds accompanied by terrifying lightning. Zheng Lina, the chief forecaster at the Jinan Meteorological Observatory, explained in a local interview that this meteorological marvel is called a "virga", which occurs when raindrops evaporate continuously as they fall, creating streak-like suspensions. The virga is often observed during high temperatures in summer, which leads to localized convective weather conditions.
