Margrethe Vestager, European Commissioner for Competition, announces an antitrust fine against Mondelez International. The European Commission imposes a fine of 337.5 million euros on Mondelez (producer of Oreo, Milka, Lu, Côte d'or, Toblerone and other brands) for anti-competitive practices and barriers to cross-border trade in chocolate, cookies and coffee products between EU countries.
