Kami Rita Sherpa Aka Everest Man Gets Heroic Welcome After 30th Summit Of Mount Everest
Kami Rita Sherpa, also known as the ''Everest Man,'' is gesturing as he is given a heroic welcome upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, on May 24, 2024, from the Everest region, setting the record for the highest number of ascents by a single person. The 54-year-old Sherpa climber has been scaling mountains for over two decades. His mountaineering journey is beginning in 1992 when he joins an expedition to Everest as a support staff member. Since then, Kami Rita is fearlessly embarking on numerous expeditions, summiting Everest multiple times. His achievements are extending beyond Everest, as he is also conquering other formidable peaks, including K2, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Manaslu.
