Emotionally Disturbed Person Shot By NYPD Officers And Killed After Charging At Officers With A Knife In Brooklyn New York

The crime scene unit is placing evidence markers on the ground at the crime scene. An emotionally disturbed 26-year-old male is being shot and killed by officers after charging at NYPD officers with a knife in Brooklyn, New York, United States, on May 26, 2024. At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Sunday morning, in front of 155 Eldert Street, two police officers are finishing up a call for service. While the two officers are sitting in their vehicle, the male is hitting the vehicle. When confronting the individual, the male is holding two knives. Officers are using tasers, then discharging their weapons. The 26-year-old male victim is being transported to the hospital where he is pronounced dead.
