Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi on Sunday issued the directive for the beginning of the country's 14th presidential election process, the official news agency IRNA reported.
In a letter addressed to the country's governors and governor-generals, the interior minister ordered the latter to set up election headquarters and called on the former to form the relevant executive bodies across the country within three days, starting from Sunday, and implement other necessary measures in their respective provinces according to the schedule set for the election process.
Iran's Election Headquarters issued a statement on Sunday announcing that the candidates' registration process would begin as of Thursday for five days until June 3, IRNA reported.
