inauguration of a new monument dedicated to the NCDUs (Naval Combat Demolition Units) and Scouts and Raiders (Scouts et Commandos) on May 30, 2024 at Omaha Beach, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, northwestern France, as part of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of D-Day, This project, initiated by the Navy Seal Museum, is the first of its kind to commemorate the heroic action of the NCDU and Scouts and Raiders at Omaha Beach, where they suffered heavy losses.
