Humanitarian Aid Airdropped Into Gaza

Palestinians pick up airdropped aid packages landing on parts of Gaza dropped from the air by planes in an attempt to ease the pressure on the dire humanitarian situation caused by Israel's war on the strip on April 30, 2024. According to the United Nations and humanitarian agencies, nearly 1.7 million Palestinians have been displaced from their homes. Despite the growing pressure on the Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu to accept the proposed truce and start a ceasefire, the Israeli war cabinet has insisted on going ahead with a wider military operation in the Gaza Strip.
