An important tourism area in El Salvador, La Libertad lies about 30 kilometers away from San Salvador, the country's capital. As the original dock of La Libertad port is in disrepair and therefore cannot meet the needs of fishing and tourism, construction of a new dock for the port started in 2021 with the aid of China. The project is undertaken by China Harbor Engineering Company Limited (CHEC). In May, the governments of China and El Salvador signed handover documents and the project was officially delivered.           GUANGZHOU, June 29, 2024 -- An aerial drone photo taken on March 12, 2023 shows the Zhongshan Bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan link under construction in south China's Guangdong Province. Shenzhen-Zhongshan link is a core transportation hub project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It consists of one underwater tunnel, two bridges and two artificial islands, making it one of the most challenging cross-sea cluster projects in the world. The 24-km-long cross-sea link is scheduled to open to traffic on June 30. China's assistance to the Solomon Islands' National Broadband Network Project, jointly implemented by China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd. and Huawei Technologies Co Ltd., is a landmark project for cooperation between the two countries. The project plans to construct 161 3G/4G wireless communication base stations on 35 major islands in the Solomon Islands' nine provinces. The construction, to last for three years, started on Aug. 28, 2023, with the first telecommunication tower launched on March 22 in Sali village.
