US: Emergency Declared In South Florida As Torrential Rains Cause Major Flooding

Many streets in South Florida were flooded after heavy rains pounded the region on Wednesday, June 12. Gov. Ron DeSantis declared an emergency in Broward, Collier, Lee, Miami-Dade, and Sarasota counties due to the significant flooding. The inclement weather caused flight disruptions at Miami International Airport and road closures including parts of major highways.
