Ukraine Peace Summit - Switzerland
The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, talks with the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, during the opening of the Ukraine Peace Summit, at the Bürgenstock complex, on June 15, 2024, in Lucerne (Switzerland). Switzerland is hosting a Ukrainian Peace Summit this weekend, without the participation of Russia and China. The aim of the meeting is to open a roadmap to peace that will subsequently also involve Russia. For its part, the Kremlin has spurned the event and has presented its own peace proposal that would involve Kiev beginning the withdrawal of troops from the disputed eastern and southern parts of Ukraine and renouncing NATO membership. The Kremlin's proposal for a peace process in the Ukraine is not a proposal for Russia. Photo by Moncloa/Europa Press/ABACAPRESS.COM
