Japan enacts law to restrict sex offenders from child-related work
Japan's House of Councillors passes a bill in a plenary session at parliament in Tokyo on June 19, 2024, for introducing a system to enable employers to check whether job applicants have been registered sex offenders in the past 20 years, in a bid to block those with sex crime convictions from jobs involving children.
