(240619) -- LIUZHOU, June 19, 2024 (Xinhua) -- An aerial drone photo taken on June 19, 2024 shows surging water flow of the Liujiang River in Liuzhou City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Due to heavy rainfall, water level at the Liuzhou hydrological station on the Liujiang River in Guangxi rose to 86.3 meters at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, exceeding the alert line by 3.8 meters. Due to the influence of Typhoon "Super Typhoon Yagi", a large area of heavy rainfall occurred in upstream Vietnam, Baise City and Chongzuo City in Guangxi Province of China, and flood peak was formed in the Zuojiang River. The Yongjiang River in Nanning, Guangxi Province, reached the highest water level of 75.5 meters as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the flood reaching 2.5 meters above the warning level of 73.0 meters.
