One Person Killed And One Person Injured In Shooting On The First Day Of Astronomical Summer In Chicago Illinois

Shell casings are being located at the crime scene. One person is being killed and another is being injured in a shooting in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on June 20, 2024, the first day of Summer. At approximately 12:03 a.m., Thursday morning, on the 700 block of E. 67th St., two male adults are standing in a vacant lot when an unknown suspect is firing shots in their direction, striking both victims. A male victim in his 30s is sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the body and is being transported to the hospital where he is being pronounced dead.
