Summer Solstice Celebration In Poland
Women are picking wild plants while celebrating the summer solstice during the 'Kupala Night' by the Krakus Mound in Krakow, Poland on June 20th, 2024. The Kupała Night is Old Slavic holiday falling on the shortest night of the year. During that night rituals were performed such as gathering and making crowns from herbs and wild flowers by girls and young women, sending garlands on water; lighting fires, dancing, singing, and jumping over fire.
