Chicago Police Investigate Overnight Motor Vehicle Collision That Left One Person Dead

Chicago police are investigating an overnight motor vehicle collision that happened on Thursday evening, June 20, 2024, which left one person dead in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on Friday morning, June 21, 2024. At approximately 11:58 p.m. on Thursday evening, on the 8300 block of S. Kedzie Avenue, Chicago police are responding to a vehicle crash where a black SUV headed southbound on Kedzie is colliding with a white sedan that is traveling westbound on 83rd St. Three unidentified male suspects are exiting the black SUV and fleeing the scene on foot. Officers are able to locate and apprehend one of the suspects. The white sedan is occupied by a male driver who is pronounced dead on the scene. There are no further injuries reported.
