Sau reservoir is at 40 per cent of its capacity - Vila Nova de Sau
The Sau reservoir, on June 22, 2024, in Vilanova de Sau, Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). The Sau reservoir, known for its abandoned church whose bell tower emerges when the water level drops, has exceeded the threshold of 40% of its capacity after the rains that have fallen in Catalonia in recent weeks. According to data from the Catalan Water Agency (ACA), the water accumulated in the Sau reservoir has shot up since the beginning of May, after months of drought that reduced the water in the reservoir to about 2% of the capacity of this infrastructure.
