US: Rapidly Spreading ‘French Fire’ Prompts Evacuations In Mariposa County, California

A wildfire, dubbed French Fire, broke out on French Camp Road near Grosjean and Alta Vista in Mariposa County on Thursday, July 4, prompting mandatory evacuation orders for streets near the site of the fire. The fire grew to 400 acres before 9 p.m. People at the John C. Fremont Hospital were ordered to shelter-in-place due to the blaze.
