The First Passengers Evacuated From The 'Tenacia' Arrive - Valencia
Workers prepare the arrival of the ship of the shipping company GNV 'Tenacia', upon its arrival at the Port of Valencia, on July 9, 2024, in Valencia, Valencian Community (Spain). The ship has been adrift early this morning after suffering a fire. In addition, during the morning is expected the arrival of the vessel 'Bridge', also of GNV, and on board of which goes a small part of the passengers. Later, around 9.30 p.m., the 'MSC Arica', of the parent group, will arrive with most of the evacuees and part of the crew. The evacuation of the 350 passengers has started, after being requested by the commander of the 'Tenacia' around 15.25 hours yesterday Monday, when the ship was about 53 miles west of Dragonera and after noticing that during the firefighting work the ship had heeled over. The fire would have occurred in the engine room. Photo by Jorge Gil/Europa Press/ABACAPRESS.COM
