Unscientific Waste Turns Wetland Into Wasteland, Raising Health Concerns

Heaps of garbage are being seen in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on July 13, 2024. The improper disposal of waste in Srinagar is transforming a wetland into a wasteland, causing significant health concerns among residents. The city is producing 600 metric tons of garbage daily, which is being collected by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and dumped at Achan.
