Thousands joined a mass protest against over-tourism in Palma de Mallorca on Sunday, July 21. 80 social groups called for the protest decrying the excessive tourism in Spain's Balearic Islands and its negative effect on local housing, public services, and natural resources. Other locations in Spain also saw similar protests in recent weeks.
