Rescue Of A Cayuco With 140 People - Canary Islands

Red Cross workers receive the 140 people from a cayuco, which have been rescued by a Salvamento Maritimo boat, at the dock of Arguineguin, July 23, 2024, in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands (Spain). Salvamento Marítimo rescued yesterday, a dinghy with 140 people on board, all of sub-Saharan origin, south of Gran Canaria. The boat was sighted 138 miles south of the archipelago by a ship traveling from Portugal to Nigeria, giving immediate notice to Maritime Rescue.
