Buoyed by up to $44.3 million in federal subsidies and another $ 20 million in provincial funding, Goodyear is expanding its Napanee factory to produce specialized tires for EVs and all-terrain vehicles. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company said its more than $ 75-million investment will create another 200 skilled positions in Napanee, 225 kilometres east of Toronto, ballooning its workforce to 1,000 workers by 2027.
