Portugal Tourism Keeps Flowing Foward With Reduced Mobility Access To Beaches

An aerial view of Agroal river beach in Ourem, Portugal, on August 10, 2024, is showing the country's tourism, which is generating revenue every year. Portugal is also having special tourism programs like the ''Accessible Beach - Beach for All!'' program, launched in 2005, as a result of a partnership led by the National Institute for Rehabilitation, the Portuguese Environment Agency, and Tourism of Portugal. The main objective is equipping bathing areas with a set of conditions that are allowing for universal use, regardless of age or mobility challenges. (Photo by Luis Boza/NurPhoto via Getty Images)
