A protest is held for the resolution of the issue of "comfort women," a euphemistic term for women from the Korean Peninsula and elsewhere forced to work at wartime Japanese military brothels, in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul on Aug. 14, 2024, the memorial day for Korean "comfort women."
