Chicago police officers are responding to a call of shots fired and discovering multiple people have been shot in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on August 20, 2024. According to a witness, two unknown suspects are firing gunshots at five of the victims who are standing outside before fleeing the scene. One of the victims, a 39-year-old male, is in a vehicle driving by when he is struck by the gunfire. A 46-year-old male is sustaining a gunshot wound to the left torso and is pronounced dead at the hospital. A 51-year-old male is sustaining a gunshot wound to the left foot and is in fair condition at the hospital. A 37-year-old male is sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the body and is in fair condition at the hospital. A 44-year-old male is sustaining a gunshot wound to the left leg and foot and is in critical condition at the hospital.
